Arrival and departure
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is by 12:00.
What are the reception opening hours?
Reception is open every day of the year, from 11:00 to 19:00. We can help you in Spanish and English.
What if I arrive after 19:00?
You can still get in. Outside reception hours, you enter with an access code or an electronic key (e-key) on your phone.
Can I leave my luggage before check-in or after check-out?
Yes. On the day you arrive you can get in from 09:00 with the access code and leave your luggage, even though the room is available from 14:00. On the day you leave, we keep it at reception until 21:00.
I am arriving on the Camino de Santiago. What do you offer?
We are less than 50 metres from Praza do Obradoiro. You can leave your backpack from 09:00 on the day you arrive and, on the day you leave, store it at reception until 21:00. If you come by bike, you can store it too.
Where is Casa da Balconada?
At Rúa Xelmírez 9, 15704 Santiago de Compostela, right in the old town of Santiago de Compostela, less than 50 metres from Praza do Obradoiro.
Can I get there by car? Where can I park?
The house is in the pedestrian zone of the old town. We recommend Parking Indigo, San Clemente, which has an agreement with us for our guests; from there you can walk to the house. Approximate price: 19 € / 24 h.
Is there a lift?
No, the house has no lift. The rooms are on the first, second and third floors.
Rooms and services
What rooms do you have?
We have 6 double rooms, all with a private bathroom: 3 with a balcony and a 135 cm double bed, and 3 interior rooms with two 90 cm single beds.
What do the rooms have?
All of them have air conditioning and heating, a private bathroom with shower, toiletries, a hairdryer, a 32" Smart TV and free Wi-Fi.
Do you have a baby cot?
Yes, on request. Let us know before you arrive.
Is there a laundry service?
Yes, on request.
Can you book me a taxi or a transfer?
Yes, we offer a taxi and transfer service, at an extra cost.
Are pets allowed?
No, pets are not allowed.
Bookings and prices
How much does a night cost?
In the winter season, from 49 € per night. You can see the exact price for your dates in the booking engine.
Is there a discount for booking on the website?
Yes. When you book on our official website you get 10% off with the promo code WEB10.
Can I cancel my booking?
It depends on the rate. With the refundable rate, cancellation is free up to 3 days before your arrival date for bookings made on our website; if you cancel later, you pay the full price. With the non-refundable rate, you pay the full price even if you cancel or do not show up. The conditions of each booking are shown in the booking engine before you confirm it.
When is the booking charged?
With the refundable rate, the amount is charged 3 days before arrival. With the non-refundable rate, 1 hour after you book.
