The house

Casa da Balconada has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, blending modern facilities with the history of an old building.

The building, formerly known as A Casa do Zapateiro, keeps its original stone façade with balconies. A recent renovation added two new floors.

The building with a garden opposite our façade now belongs to the University of Santiago de Compostela. It is also known as Casa da Balconada and is famous for the murder of Archbishop Suero Gómez de Toledo and a dean in the Obradoiro in the 14th century.
